Boston Trip '08

-Friday 24-
The day started off going to school not fun with way to much stress.
After school i went home finished packing for the trip. On the way i call Airtran and find out that my flight has been delayed for 2 hours. So i still go to the airport, where two more delays take place and about 5 different gate changes in between them. Finally leave Atlanta at 11:40pm instead of 8:40pm. Land in Boston at 2:00am meet with Mark. We leave the airport and go to his house where we decide to turn in.

-Saturday 25-(business day)
After only 5 and 1/2 hours of sleep me and mark wake up at 8am. Eat a delicious eggo breakfast and head to Worcester, Mass. to meet up with Brian White and Bobby Lacombe to skate.
SPOT 1 we arrived in worcester at 9:30 and the first spot was some small marble ledges. These ledges were pretty nice warm up spot but the ledges were a little chunky. Mark forced me to do one of the ledges for a clip. Which included doing acid gap mute 180 over a set. The clip was okay just not hard at all.
Spot 2 was a church with a wierd ditch like obstical that had a strange roll in leading to a bank to a knife ledge. I quickly decided i wanted nothing to do with the ledge but sized up an 8 foot bank to bank gap. And after a too many attempts i landed mute over the gap. Mark sucessfully did fakie roll down the roll in(much harder than it seems) to half cab acid on the ledge. And bobby had the trick line for the spot with back farf to soul 360 out on the bank to ledge-540 swing around a pole to 270 back royale on an out curved ledge at the same church.
Spot 3was a courtyard in downtown Worcester. it had a ledge and a statue that had possibilities. With help from Audris who joined us after the 2nd spot. I found that next to the ledge there was a tree planter that was just high enough to lock your sole plate on. after a few attempts i landed zero acid on the ledge gap/drop down to mizou on the planter to fakie. Right after that i got Mark to land a sweet trick on the statue where he gapped over the base of the statue to savahnna cess on the waist high outward slanting part of the statue gap back out over the base.
Spot 4Was a ghetto homemade rail.
I didnt do much on this rail other than a couple back farf's. But the other guys laced many tricks on the rail. And brian pulled a perfect negative acid on the rail.
Spot 5Was a 20 stair rail. I had nothing to do with this rail so i decided to pick up the camera and film Bobby and Brian. Brian landed soul cleanly on the rail and had an attempted soul to switch top soul attempt. Then Bobby landed two 270 back royales back to back.
Spot 6was behind a shopping center. the whole back are was filled with with asphalt banks. I did landed two tricks at this spot. The first was roll up one of the banks and half jump through/over a small tree growing in the bank with a 180 stale grab to flatView Trick. The second was a bank to fence stall 270 to flatView Trick.
Spot 7Was a Bump to jersey barrier. By this time i was basically a walking zombie so i decided to film for this spot Brian attacked this spot with a bunch of alleyoop trick including an a/o pornView Picture and mark landed an beautiful zerospin pornstar on it as well.
After this we went and played pool made the hour and a half drive back to marks place and passed out.

-Sunday 26-(7 months RIP Brother)
Today was a difficult one. As it goes if you skate your hardest all day the next day you end up really really sore. But i needed more clips so i got over it. On sunday we skated Salem Mass. yes this is where the witch trials were but not really as i found out salem was actually a different place then where it is today. But anyways
Spot 1was an school with amazing potential and a fun spot. Mark and Bobby tried to skate but the day before had pretty much taken everything from them. Bobby warmed up on a normal ledge but i didnt want to and went straight to the clip spot. After about 7 coats of wax i was ready to skate it. This is what the spot looks likeView Spot. This spot is quite a bit more difficult than it looks but fun none the less. I managed to land acid 180 out and a grabbed makio landed cleanly.

After this rollerblading was pretty much over. We had amazing pizza at a place called Mandees then went back to Marks where we watched movies and baked cup cakes for allie.
